Dewatering Technology
The Rapid Dewatering System has the following advantages:
- Each unit continually processes the flow from a hydraulic dredge at rates of 2000-5000+ gallons per minute or 100-300+ cubic yards/hour of in-situ (in place) solids.
- The RDS instantly separates and classifies solids into recoverable piles of debris, shells, and gravel; sand; and fines which include clays, silts, and organics for easy reuse or disposal. In addition, it simultaneously returns clear water (from 30 to less than 5 p.p.m. total suspended solids) to the waterway.

Rapid Dewatering System’s Four Dewatering Stages:
Download our Rapid Dewatering System PowerPoint Presentation (23 mb) Genesis Fluid Solutions, a technology company, is introducing a disruptive technology to the water industry. The Joshua Technology instantly separates sediments and contaminants from the dredge flow in the remediation of harbors, waterways, mining operations, and reservoirs. The technology performs at flow rates many times faster than typical "dewatering" operations. The resulting cost savings to the client are significant, and multiply as the Joshua Technology removes contaminants from polluted lakes, rivers, and large mine tailings. The return water is clear (less than 1ppm), far superior to the standards for discharge demanded by U.S.E.P.A. and the Corps of Engineers. This technology is a unique micropore filtration technology which is patented in many countries around the world. Companies that have stepped forward to partner with Genesis include the most prestigious of Engineering groups (Black and Veatch, Halcrow, and Post Buckley), and the most powerful water companies (Violia, SNF Floerger, and General Electric). Genesis achieved proof of concept on a harbor project last year in Los Angeles, and was immediately awarded the contract on the hotly contested Sawgrass project in Florida. Violia and Genesis have agreed to working together on mining projects in the U.S. and South Africa. Exploratory discussions have now begun with Boskalis, the Dutch Dredging company, on waterway projects in the E.U. and the U.S. |
